Dr. Luis M. Sorolla Jr. is a retired educator holding the rank of University Professor and presently a Member of the CHED Technical Panel for Teacher Education. He was formerly the University President of the WEST VISAYAS STATE UNIVERSITY and of this institution which at that time was known as WVCST.
During his stint as President of WVCST, Dr Sorolla lead the efforts for the conversion of WVCST into the present ISAT-U or Iloilo Science and Technology University.
Presently, he is the Vice Chairman of the Center for Educational Measurement (CEM). He is also a member of the Board of Director of the National Network of Quality Assurance Agencies (NNQAA). He also serves as the Executive Director of the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universties for Industrial Technology (PACUIT). He is also the Vice Chair of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines, Iloilo Council.
Dr Sorolla is retired, but not yet tired of service, living the essence of ISAT-U acronym which also stands for “ I Serve All the Time - Unselfishly.
