NNQAA History
The National Network of Quality Assurance Agencies (NNQAA), Inc. was founded as required by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) for the purpose of certifying programs and institutions as having been accredited in accordance with CHED standards.
NNQAA was composed of two founding members — AACCUP (Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines) and ALCU-COA (Association of Local Colleges and Universities–Commission on Accreditation) — later joined by IDEAL (International Distance Education Accreditation League). Programs accredited by AACCUP and ALCU-COA must be certified by NNQAA for CHED recognition.
NNQAA serves as the umbrella organization of Quality Assurance and Accrediting Agencies for government institutions of learning and other professional education associations.
